Newest ADJA member!
Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 2:58PM Klentzman Entertainment is now a member of the American Disc Jockey Association, belonging to the Dallas-Fort Worth ADJA Chapter. Sweet!
Now, what does this mean for Klentzman Entertainment? In being a member we get tons of benefits, which means we will be able to better serve our clients!
DISCOUNTS (!) We get discounts on all sorts of DJ equipment--from software to speakers and even lighting and FX equipment. We also get discounts on music downloads, CDs, music DVDs, remixes, etc. We get discounts on car rentals from Enterprise and Hertz!
Also, as members we get advertising and promo assistance, along with advertising materials. THIS we totally need and is super awesome.
There's plenty more, but I won't bore you. I left the best things for last anyway. In being a member of ADJA, we get nationwide networking with other DJs, which will help us with a number of things. Firstly, if we already have a date booked that keeps being asked for, we will be able to recommend the client to another DJ that we fully trust. This year we had about 5 brides contact us for May 22 when it was already booked, so hopefully we'll be able to help them! Also, networking is just good for continuing education.
Lastly, we got a discount on DJ insurance and liability coverage. This is very good. We have 2 weddings this year in which their reception venue required liability insurance, so now we have it! So if anyone needs to know, we DO have insurance. I'm sure I'll add this to the FAQ section sometime soon.
Now I already mentioned that we get discounts on lighting equipment. This is a yay for us. Lighting adds so much to a reception/formal/fling/etc. We've promised a couple of brides that we would have lighting by the time their wedding rolls around. We are happy to say that we will have lighting by the end of this month! We still have research to do, but it is a for sure thing.
So that's all for our updates! I'm sure Mark will be on his way to making another blog post about recent DJing events sometime soon (this is Bailey writing btw...if you haven't noticed).

WOW!!! Our daughter Whitney had told us about Mark and how she wanted him to be her DJ for her wedding in Austin. They had gone to school together at Texas State U. We had heard good things but we had no idea how much fun it would be. Everyone was really enjoying the song selection of the father/daughter dance when they looked over and realized that Mark was singing. It gave it such a personal touch. He was just incredible....
Mark thank you so much for sharing your talent with us for Whitney and Clint's wedding. We know you will receive many referrals.
